For this project, I intend to follow the Music Video genre in order to create a music video which is successful in its intended purpose - to act as a promotional tool in representing the brand image of the artist I work with. Music video production companies abide by conventions, and stick to genre, as it allows an audience to feel safe, and unchallenged. Mainstream audiences do not like to be challenged. This allows for the videos to be more accessible, and therefore reach a larger audience, meaning more profits will inevitably be made from music sales, by using thew videos to promote the songs.
